Bright lights, big city, and true BBQ. Just because you don’t have a backyard doesn’t mean you can’t be King of Backyard BBQ. The Traeger Bronson 20 makes it easy to enjoy smokey down-home favorites like brisket and ribs on a downtown balcony or downsized patio. Its compact design makes it the perfect grill for apartments and condos, and because it’s an electric grill with no open flame the Bronson meets the guidelines of many HOAs. A great addition to cabins and cottages, this versatile small pellet grill can smoke, grill, roast, and bake at the touch of a button, so you can enjoy wood-fired cooking in the burbs, in the city, or on the lake.

  • Easily control temperatures from 180 to 400°F with the Traeger Digital Elite Controller.
  • Sit back and relax with friends while the Bronson automatically maintains its temperature from start to finish.
  • A rugged sawhorse chassis provides stability while all-terrain wheels make it easy to tuck the Bronson away when not in use.
  • Fit 12 burgers, 18 hot dogs, 4 chickens, and multiple racks of ribs or pork butts onto 300 square inches of cooking space.
  • Plugs into a standard 100v outlet.

Don't forget to get pellets and a cover for your Traeger. FireCraft also carries a full line of Traeger accessories.

Traeger® Bronson 20 Expert Review

I’ve long believed that grilling is the true great American pastime—it brings together family and friends in the open air for an afternoon of food and fun. Yet not everyone has a spacious backyard to do it in. Perfect for apartment balconies, condo patios, and undersized yards, the Traeger Bronson 20 makes it easy for just about everyone to enjoy wood fired food no matter where they live.

Reasons to Buy

I didn’t always have a backyard. At different points, I’ve lived in apartments and condos, where I had a modest grill but owning a smoker was inconceivable. That’s what I love about the Traeger Bronson. Yes, it’s a small grill that can be used on apartment balconies and patios, but there are a number of grills that can make that claim. The Bronson is a small pellet grill that can smoke, roast, and bake. So, whether you live downtown, recently downsized in the burbs, or just want a versatile grill for the cabin, you can enjoy low-and-slow BBQ, slow-roasted beef, or grilled burgers.

While the Bronson’s size makes it ideal for those with limited space, I think it’s price will make it an attractive option for anyone interested in a quality pellet grill at an affordable price. I see plenty of cheap pellet grills around. However, those cut-rate prices are too often attached to substandard grills. With a price under $500, the Bronson represents a nice marriage of Traeger quality and affordability. In fact, at that price, I would consider getting a Bronson to use as an easy-to-use companion smoker alongside my everyday grill.

Reasons to Keep Shopping

While I like the Bronson’s size, it may not be big enough for everyone. For those who like to entertain small groups, I suggest going with a slightly bigger pellet grill like the Traeger Lil’ Tex Elite or Pro Series 22. Also, if you’re looking for a compact on-the-go grill that can be taken to the game or camping, I recommend something a little more portable like the Traeger Tailgater or Traeger PTG+. Finally, although the Bronson’s digital control board can maintain about +/- 20℉, it falls well short of the precision PID controllers used by more advanced pellet grill, like the Louisiana Grills Tailgater
