Reviews for Fast Eddy's™ PG500 Pellet Grill by Cookshack
« Back to the productFireCraft has been awesome to deal with. I purchased a PG500 couple months ago and the smoker works good so far, but couple fabrication issues. First I had a door and hinge problem; FireCraft tech support resolved the issue. My other problem was the welded grease tray at the bottom that feeds to the drip bucket. The ends were never sealed so grease/oil filled the bottom under warmer tray.....Just received our PG500 from Firecraft. FIrecraft was great!!! The unit was on back order and they said they would do everything they could to get it to us before our 10 day trip up north to our cottage. It arrived yesterday and we are thrilled to have it in time for our vacation and try it out up north with family. It is a little tank! Extremely, we'll build. My husband said it it the best shipping of an item he has ever seen. It came very well protected and packaged. He is just shrink wrapping it back up the way it came with the framing after checking it over. Cannot wait to smoke ribs this weekend. Grill rib eyes.... it will get a good out this week. We did a lot of research on pellet grills, not being happy with another manufacturers that we had issues with holding temp. Everybody loves their Fast Eddy's Cook Shack Pellet grills......I have cooked everything from tenderloin steaks to smoked almonds in all kinds of weather for 3 years on my PG 500. I would give it 10 stars, but they only allow 5. The workmanship of the grill is super, and the unit produces fantastic food from pork, chicken, fish, and veggies. It will work in all kinds of weather, but can burn lots of pellets in cold or rainie weather. I still like the design better Thea the insulated version though, so I am going to build a small shelter for mine on my deck to keep it dry and warm in cold weather. Perry JoeI have resisted using a pellet grill. I have a Lang wood smoker and love it. I saw several friends who were using traeger pellet grills and they loved the ease so I started checking them out. I ended up with Fast Eddys and I love it. Have used it several times, pork, ribs, turkey, chicken and sausage and I must say I am impressed. It sears the meats well , heats up fast and holds temperature. The quality is outstanding and it is MADE IN AMERICA, love that (will never buy Chinese unless there is no option). FireCraft gave me great service and price. I highly recommend FireCraft and Cookshacks Fast Eddy PG500, enjoy.
