The Yoder Durango Smoker 16 is a world-famous, pro-level, competition-winning smoker that comes. This classic side-mounted or "offset" firebox smoker is made from 1/4" thick steel to seal in heat and moisture. The Durango models also feature a vertical cooking chamber that has 3 removable racks and a meat/cheese hanger. Heat and smoke travel from the firebox, through the main cooking chamber, then through the vertical cooking chamber, and out through the smoke stack while infusing your food with robust smoking flavor. Yoder's dual-damper draft control makes for very accurate and controllable pit temperatures. This impressive Yoder Smoker includes 2 lid-mounted thermometers, stainless steel cool-to-the-touch handles, an ash removal tool, a pot warmer (above firebox), and a removable grill grate for the firebox so that you can sear burgers or steaks. There is even a heavy-duty shelf below the cooking chamber to store you wood and charcoal!
There are several options available for the Yoder Durango 16. The first is a charcoal grate that sits below the cooking grid in the main cooking chamber. The removable grate allow you turn you Yoder Durango 16 into one big charcoal grill for direct grilling. The second options is a 2nd level slide out shelf that sit above the main cooking grate and adds an additional 292 square inches of cooking space. Another fantastic option is the drop-in heat management plate. This plate is 1/4in thick and is designed to provide unparalleled heat distribution. The photo shows how the holes in the plate grow large the further away from the firebox they are, thus more evenly distributing the heat and smoke.
